Solar Decathlon is an international competition launched by the US Department of Energy. SDC is a green technology-based competition with global organizations as participants. Through the technologies and ideas of world-leading R & D and design teams, the competition is established to create a functionally - complete, comfortable, livable Net Zero and sustainable living space by freshly combining energy, environmental protection, and architectural design.

The project will integrate several housing typologies and will be constructed using modern techniques such as modular prefabricated construction combined with regional architectural traditions. Thus maintaining the inherent uniqueness of Andhra Pradesh with a clear appreciation for the local culture and climate.
